This Privacy Policy explains how Contexta ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our website and services (the "Service").

1. What we collect

• Account data — email address you provide when joining the waitlist or creating an account.
• Content you connect — when you link sources (e.g. Telegram, Gmail, calendars, documents), we process the content you explicitly authorize to build your memory index.
• Usage data — basic technical logs (IP, user agent, timestamps) needed to operate and secure the Service.

2. How we use it

• To provide the memory and retrieval features you request.
• To operate, maintain, and improve the Service.
• To communicate with you about the product (you can unsubscribe at any time).

3. Third-party AI providers

Contexta integrates with AI assistants (e.g. OpenAI, Anthropic) through connectors such as MCP. When you query your memory via those assistants, the relevant excerpts are transmitted to the provider you chose, subject to their respective privacy policies. We do not sell your data to third parties.

4. Storage and security

Data is stored on servers we operate. We apply industry-standard safeguards (encryption in transit, access controls). For self-hosted deployments, your data never leaves your infrastructure.

5. Retention and deletion

You can delete your account and all associated memory at any time from the Service. On deletion, your data is removed from production systems; backups roll off within 30 days.

6. Your rights

You may request access, correction, export, or deletion of your personal data by emailing [email protected].

7. Children

The Service is not directed to individuals under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated via the Service or email. The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest revision.
